  1. I've barely started reading more chic lit so I'm excited for all the new recommendations! I did contemporaries for my list too

    1. Start with Rainbow! Not only are her books awesome, but I've met her and she's just as amazing in person.

  2. Great picks! I Meg Cabot, Stephanie Perkins, and Sophie Kinsella too! Have you read Kinsella's shopoholics series? It's hilarious :)

    1. I burned out on the Shopoholic series pretty fast. I would just get too frustrated, but I'm definitely in the minority with that opinion.

  4. I love Sophie Kinsella. I've only read a couple of Meg Cabot's and one of Jennifer Weiner which were good.
    Great list.

    1. My faves are actually the ones on the list that are lesser known. Rowell, LaZebnik, and O'Neal are all wonderful, but fewer people are reading them.

  5. I don't read chick-lit but seeing how popular it is I just might have to try it. :) I will search for these authors...

  8. I also hate the chick lit term so I started calling it women's lit which isn't much better, but at least it doesn't use the word "chick" in it. I've been meaning to try a lot of these authors, but funny enough Rainbow and Jennifer Weiner are probably my fav authors in the genre. I really like how you listed favorite books by author-- wish I'd thought of that!

    1. I've also tried "Books Men Won't Read", but it's too much of a mouthful.

    1. Lol - I liked Chasing Harry Winston, but couldn't get into her most recent one "Last Night at Chateau Marmont". She made the list because I've reread her first three books a LOT!

    2. I still like her, and will give her books a try. Haven't gotten to Chateau Marmont yet. I LOVED TDWP and EWK though.
